Now Breathe

So, what does one do when they have reached the point of no return? They keep moving forward.

When every effort has been exhausted, every word been repeated a thousand times, the last tear cried, you take a breath and you move forward.

Breathe!

Do you feel that? That is the feel of your lungs expanding. Yea, now exhale. Feels good, doesn’t it?

Inhale, exhale, and repeat.

You made it! You did it! You thought you couldn’t live through the grief and look at you now; you are still breathing.

Stretch your fingers, count them all…. 1,2,3,4,5….. See that? Your hands are no longer clinched. I bet you didn’t even realize that, did you?

Ah! Open your eyes, look around, do you know what you see? You see the world and oceans of opportunities.

Don’t worry about a boat, I have a feeling you will be walking on water.

It is time to throw the black veil away, you are no longer in mourning. The relationship died and it is buried, but you are still alive. Now live!

Here is to you… you are more than a survivor.

Laugh again, live again, love again
