Let Faith Arise

Well, I can think on things that weaken me, sadden me, defeat me, come into agreement with the lies, or I can think on:

… whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. Philippians 4:8

We all have a past and we have to remember the past is just that… the past.

If I could go back and change things, I would. I am sure there are some things you would change too. But, we can’t. So we have to let go of it and move forward. Move forward in Gods grace.

Today my mind started to go there. You know… there. The place where nothing good comes from it. The thoughts lead to wild imaginations, jealousies, regrets, fears, sadness, reliving it all over again. It really brought me down. When this happens it is as if truth is temporarily suspended and this gives way for the lies to come in and wreak all kinds of havoc.

Jesus said Satan is the father of lies, so in essence, if I listen to and agree with the lies, then I am listening to Satan and not my Father.

My Father would never speak anything contradictory to His Word. If my Father says I am loved, then I am loved. If He says I am forgiven, then I am forgiven. If He tells me to forgive, then I will forgive.

Oh, God, help me to remember who I am in You. Help me to let go of the past and to continue to look to You, the Author and Finisher of my faith. Fill me, Jesus, with Your peace. Renew my joy once again.

    1. Jason Upton is good, Spirit led. Don Potter is another of my favorites. And Kim Walker Smith from Jesus Culture. There are so many, but I love listening to songs that move in the Spirit, it strengthens me. Jason Upton’s testimony is on youtube and worth the listen.

      1. Wow, thank you very much, sorry for the late response, these are all good singers! It would be fun if I could of put a never ending worship music player (I need the premium plan). I will probably purchase a hosting server and a domain soon.
